For Halloween tricks and treats
Thursday, October 24, 2013
Sorry about all the holiday postings (what with yesterday’s holiday card post and today’s Halloween post) but seriously, ’tis the season! So…What’s better than spreading around sweet treats for the holidays, especially Halloween!? Also, if you’re anything like me (waiting until the last minute to throw something together) this treat bag will be perfect for you to give to friends, co-workers, and family – super easy and it also gives you an excuse to be a little crafty! I like decorating each of the bags a little different – shows a little bit more individuality and personalization!
. . .
Oh, and for the kiddos, I’m adding a little special Halloween touch to their candies (gotta add hand lettering to everything!) It would be perfect for those of you with kids wanting to pass around treats to school friends! Oh, the good ol’ days!

So cute!! I love white calligraphy on black. What a great idea for getting the Halloween treats made ahead of time! And I love the personal touches! I’ll definitely be trying this out over the weekend.

Such a lovely treat! We don’t go in much for celebrating Halloween here in the UK but I certainly have been enjoying reading posts (mainly from US bloggers!) about what everyone is doing in preparation for the day! It seems like a very exciting time of year!

I know I already said this – but I love this idea. Growing up my mom taught me that presentation was everything – so I love the extra step you took to make a simple candy bar more special. π

This is so awesome, Jessica! beautiful lettering and i agree, it definitely adds more of a personalized touch to each bag. it’s definitely the season π i have a feeling some of my gifts are going to be last minute too but that always gives me the changes to be more creative and work with things that I already have.

These are too cute! Sometimes i like to stay clear from Halloween decorations and shy away from doing anything special for the holiday but i could totally get into this! Halloween made cute – well done Jessica!

these are so cute! i had a similar idea for Christmas (oh the holidays.. always on our minds). what kind of pen did you use for the white designs?

Thanks Emily!! I think these little treat goody bags would be perfect for Christmas too! I would just change the color of the bag from black to anything else…or keep it black, why not?!? π The white pen I use is just your average white pigment ink pen from uni-ball, I’m sure you can get it at any craft store in the pen section! I find it works great on black paper, but there are also paint pens that you could use too (but they might not be as fine tipped). Good luck! <3

This such a sweet idea! I think personalizing goody bags shows how much thought is put into preparing them! I’ve always wanted to do this, I think I need to actually make it happen soon haha!! I know some kids in the neighborhood who would really appreciate this π
